Field Day at the Duerst Farm

Learn about research conducted by Tyler Duerst Farm in partnership with Dane Demo Farms, and check out the new edge-of-field monitoring equipment recently installed on the neighboring Dane County property.

Two sets of plots are installed at the Duerst farm, including a project looking at the use of cover crops to replace tillage on low-lying acres. 

A pair of edge-of-field monitoring equipment was recently installed on Dane County property operated by Tyler Duerst. You'll be able to see inside the equipment to see how it operates and collects samples during runoff events. We'll be seeking feedback from farmers on what types of management practices they would like to see monitored over the next few years.

Brats will be served at noon, other refreshments will be provided.
